Also, in this square, you can admire two busts that pay tribute to two significant figures: Rafael Méndez, who taught the people how to make spheres, and Ildefonso Illescas, the priest who dedicated himself completely to the construction of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Heading southwest from the square, you will find a sculpture in honor of Gaspar Henaine, better known as "Capulina," a proud native of this place.
