The exhibition deals with the post-war period, the temporary division of Germany by the victorious powers and the concomitant hardening of the relations between East and West, which finally brought the founding of the FRG and the GDR, as well as the first establishment of a wall around West Berlin.

   Opened in 2016, The Wall Museum from the East Side Gallery offers both Berlin visitors and Berliners a unique, multimedia exhibition on the history of the Berlin Wall.
