Odawara developed as a castle town ruled by the Hojo clan during the Sengoku period, and this land has nurtured a culture of “sound” alongside the lives of its people. Wadaiko (Japanese drums) have served as signals for festivals and as a means to boost morale, connecting castles, towns, and rural areas. Experiencing wadaiko here is not just about playing an instrument—it is also an opportunity to connect with Japanese history and everyday life. Omura Musical Instruments, having supported local music culture for many years, presents the authentic wadaiko culture in an accessible way, rather than as a tourist performance. This is a special experience unique to Odawara, where history and resonant sound come together.
