Val d Orcia Gourmet Food Tour from Siena

A private tour in a small boutique winery with wine tasting. Gourmet food experience in a local home. Enjoy a taste of several local and home made products, including Pecorino (sheep) cheese, olive oil, Balsamic vinegar and homemade pasta. Finish off with a panoramic tour of the Val d'Orcia stopping for photos wherever you want.

First we discover the Brunello wine in a boutique winery. Learn about the wine and wine making process with the aid of a knowledgable guide, on a visit in a local cellar followed by a tasting of their wines. We then move onto a typical farmhouse, for a private gourmet food experience. You will be welcomed into the owner's home and shown his prized Balsamic vinegar cellar started by his father. Afterwhich you will have a homemade lunch on a terrace overlooking the Southern Val d'Orcia and onto the Monte Amiata. The lunch includes a tasting of Pecorino (sheep) cheese and of his olive oil. The meal will be composed of a homemade pasta, second course with side and a dessert combined with his Balsamic vinear. Note that the cost is not included, see excluded costs.
