   Taman Ayun Temple was to serve as a main site of worship among the Mengwi people who need not travel too far to the main large temples, the likes of the Besakih mother temple in Karangasem, Batukaru Temple in Tabanan or Batur Temple in Kintamani. It also served as a unifying symbol among the Mengwi royalty and the people.

   Jatiluwih Green Land

   Once a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site Jatiluwih Rice Terrace comprises over 600Ha of rice fields that follow the flowing hillside topography of the Batukaru mountain range. These are well-maintained by a traditional water management cooperative known as subak, which dates back to the 9th century. The cooperative itself eventually won recognition as a dominant factor in Bali cultural landscape entry on UNESCO World Heritage List.

   Penatahan Hot Springs beckons travelers seeking relaxation and natural beauty. The hot spring complex features a central main pool situated at the lowest level, gracefully adjacent to a flowing river. Complementing this centrepiece, are smaller pools strategically arranged along the riverbank, offering a serene and picturesque setting. Sourced from the thermal waters of Batukaru Mount, the hot springs meander down the hillsides, providing a rejuvenating experience for visitors in the quaint village of Penatahan.

   Tanah Lot Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing waves, the temple is simply among Bali not to be missed icons. The onshore site is dotted with smaller shrines alongside visitors leisure facilities that comprise restaurants, shops and a cultural park presenting regular dance performances.
