Tour of the beaches in Villasimius

We are located in the southeastern coast of the island. Intense colors of the sea, clear and brilliant waters, granite rocks, delightful coves, long stretches of sand, lagoons and green hills, scenarios chosen for advertising spots, which instill unique emotions. Villasimius is a true pearl of the south, a dream tourist resort, whose population multiplies in the warmer months with the arrival of tens of thousands of tourists. We will visit and stay in 3 different beaches for about 1 hour and 30 minutes at the beach, where you can swim and sunbathe in total autonomy.

   Spiaggia di Porto Sa Ruxi

   1.5 hours

   Looking at it from above, you will immediately notice its curious three-arched shape: in fact, more than a single beach it is a group of three crescent Listing coves, separated from each other by flat granite rocks. Its appearance, however, is not the only feature that makes Porto sa Ruxi fascinating: the beach is immersed in a wild natural scenery at the gates of Villasimius, nestled between cliffs and rock walls. Behind it, sand dunes covered with centuries-old juniper trees, maritime pines and fragrant myrtle bushes, which you will admire along the path connecting parking lots and the coast.

   Simius Beach

   1.5 hours

   A kilometre of white, thin and soft sand stretching near the Notteri Pond, chosen by pink flamingos as a habitat, northernmost part of a sandy expanse that starts from the Spanish tower of Porto Giunco, halfway between the beaches Timi Ama and is Traias. Simius is the ‘city’ beach of Villasimius, it is located immediately south-east of the town of the beautiful and famous tourist resort, enclosed to the north by the promontory of Porto Luna, which also separates it from another ‘jewel’ of Simeon, Punta Molentis. The splendid bay, protected from the wind, long and wide, has a characteristic semicircle shape and is bathed by crystal clear and transparent sea, with shades ranging from green to blue and seabed that slopes gently towards the open.

   Spiaggia di Campulongu

   1.5 hours

   It is surrounded by a green ‘band’ of fragrant pines and junipers, dotted with white dunes, bordered by granite rocks and a cliff where tiny pebble coves sprout, and above all it is embellished with a sea so transparent that it looks like a swimming pool. Campulongu is one of the Caribbean beaches included in the coast of Villasimius, as well as in the protected marine area of Capo Carbonara.
