Tokyo Traditional Kintsugi Gold Repair Workshop

The experience is designed to be approachable for beginners, with step-by-step guidance in a relaxed and welcoming environment. As you mend and decorate your piece, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind item that reflects both the tradition and your own personal touch.

Guided by a knowledgeable instructor, you’ll learn how to carefully piece together ceramic fragments using modern techniques inspired by this traditional craft. As you work, gain insight into the cultural meaning behind kintsugi and its connection to ideas of resilience, mindfulness, and appreciation for imperfection. Once complete, your restored ceramic will be packaged for you to take home—serving as a meaningful keepsake or gift. This experience offers a rare opportunity to engage with a deeply symbolic aspect of Japanese culture and carry its philosophy with you long after your visit.
