Overview
Experience two sides of Tokyo in one 3.5-hour guided tour: historic Asakusa and the soaring heights of Tokyo Skytree. Choose a small-group tour shared with other travelers or a private tour exclusively for your group. Begin beside the Sumida River and discover how Japan moved from more than 200 years of isolation to becoming a modern nation. At Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamise Street, Senso-ji Temple, and Asakusa Shrine, your guide connects famous landmarks with Japan’s history, Buddhism and Shinto, traditional symbolism, art, and links with the wider world. Learn not only what you are seeing, but why it matters. Then take a short train ride across the river to Tokyo Skytree, making a vivid transition from old Tokyo to the modern city. Admission to both the 350-meter Tembo Deck and 450-meter Tembo Galleria is included. From above, your guide will help you identify major landmarks across Tokyo. After the tour, explore the shops and restaurants at Tokyo Solamachi at your own pace.
