Tiles and Tales: Workshop and National Tile Museum Visit

Become a tile artist for a day on this full-day Lisbon Tiles and Tales tile workshop and private tour, including the National Tile Museum. Travel to Azeitão to learn how to make your own tiles from an expert tile artist. Take some free time at the waterfront to have lunch, and relax before the afternoon starts. Cap off your tour with a visit to the National Tile Museum (Museu Nacional do Azulejo), where you can admire some of the city’s most beautiful and well-preserved artworks. NOTE: While the Tile Museum is closed for refurbishing until June 2026, we're replacing it for another epic experience with Tiles.

   Azulejos de Azeitao

   At Azulejos de Azeitão, you will learn all about making tiles, and also have the chance of painting your own (that you can ship to your hotel or your home country). Azulejos de Azeitão is one of the finest and well know Tile Workshops in Portugal.

   National Tile Museum

   1.5 hours

   At the National Tiles Museum you'll be able to learn more about the tiles through History, admiring some of the best preserved and antique tiles in Portugal.

   Lisbon

   Begin your day by heading to the Azeitão region south of Lisbon, where you can see some of the region’s most beautiful tiles and learn about their origin, starting with the Arabic occupation of the Iberian Peninsula. Your guide will show you some examples of Tiles works as you drive on the way.
