Itinerary

  1. 1

    Villamar

    Pass by

On the way, gaze at the murals of Villamar, which colour this small rural centre on the road to Barumini. Here, in the 1970s, Chilean exiles and local artists created murals depicting scenes of rural life from the island's inland.

  2. 2

    Su Nuraxi

    1.5 hours

A visit to one of the largest existing nuraghes, chosen by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site because of the complexity of its structure. Here we will be able to enter inside the nuraghe, walk among its towers and admire the magnificence of the structure, built with local basalt stone more than 3,000 years ago.

  3. 3

    Casa Zapata Museum

    1 hour

A visit to Casa Zapata, rich manor house of the Zapatas, built in the late 16th century. In this mansion, now converted into a museum, are the most important findings of the archaeological site of Barumini, along with a surprise that will welcome us right at the entrance.

  4. 4

    Gesturi

    1 hour

A short walk on the basaltic plateau of the Giara of Gesturi, surrounded by the plants of the Mediterranean scrub, in search of the famous wild horses
