   In this place we will witness the true power of nature and its regeneration through the vegetation and geology of this tremendous volcanic crater! This magnificent crater is located at an altitude of approximately 900 meters, with a diameter of 2000 meters and a depth of 400 meters! And it is in this place that one of the most sought-after pedestrian trails on the island is located!

   Capelinhos

   Here you can observe the power of creation through the last volcanic eruption between 1957/1958 where Nature added an area of approximately 2.4 km2 to the island. In this place you will find the Capelinhos interpretation center, in this museum you can take a virtual and interactive journey through the geology and formation of the Azores archipelago!

   Piscinas Naturais do Varadouro

   In this cove you will find one of the most sought-after natural pools on the island, where you can bathe in the clear waters of the Azores, certified with a blue flag. Locally, you will find good restaurants where you can enjoy traditional gastronomy!

   Stop 4

   At this short stop, you can glimpse the wonderful view over the city of Horta and its wonderful bay, one of the most protected bays in the Archipelago, and also a mandatory stop for all navigators crossing the Atlantic! From this viewpoint you can also see 3 islands of the central group and one of the island's largest sandy beaches!

   Monte Da Guia Walking Trail

   Here you can see two connected volcanic craters and also the south side of the city of Horta and also the wonderful bay of Porto Pim and its golden sand beach.

   Miradouro da Ribeira das Cabras

   15 min

   On this beautiful viewpoint at approximately 260m above sea level, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery over the fajã of Praia do Norte, where excellent wines and aguardentes are produced with its microclimate.
