Teide National Park Sunset & Stargazing Tour – Self-Drive

Discover Teide National Park on an award-winning self-drive sunset and stargazing tour. Explore Tenerife’s volcanic landscapes at your own pace before meeting our guides. In warmer months (typically April–October), meet at Restaurante 7 Cañadas and enjoy sunset views from its terrace. In cooler months (typically October–April), meet directly at Montaña Sámara, where the Sea of Clouds may appear when conditions allow. Meeting details are provided before your tour. Enjoy complimentary cava or orange juice at sunset. Choose an optional three-course Canarian dinner with drinks at Restaurante 7 Cañadas, before sunset in summer or afterwards in winter. Without dinner, relax at the restaurant while others dine. After dark, explore the stars with Starlight-certified guides, telescopes and laser-guided astronomy in English, Spanish or French. Free photos, sunset time-lapse and warm coats on request are included.

   Make your own way through the spectacular landscapes of Teide National Park to Restaurante 7 Cañadas, our sunset and stargazing base at 2,130 metres above sea level. Guests selecting the dinner option can enjoy a three-course Canarian meal with drinks and panoramic views of Mount Teide. If you choose the no-dinner option, relax on the panoramic terrace, take in the magnificent views and make use of the restaurant facilities.

   As evening approaches, the sky begins its quiet transformation. Soak up the romance as you watch the sunset across Teide’s spectacular volcanic landscape. Raise a glass of chilled cava (or orange juice) as the sky ignites with colour and the sun melts into the shadow of Mount Teide - Spain’s highest peak at 3,718 metres - its silhouette both powerful and serene against the fading light.

   Stargazing is presented in English, Spanish or French. As twilight deepens, prepare to step beyond the ordinary and into the extraordinary. Under some of the clearest night skies on Earth, our expert guides take you on a stargazing and astrophotography journey across space and time. With unrivalled knowledge, warmth, and wit, they weave together mythology, science, and history into an immersive storytelling constellation. Learn the tales written in stars by civilizations past, trace the cosmic forces that shape our universe, and capture breathtaking astrophotography moments that will last a lifetime.
