Tea Ceremony in a Century-old Japanese Town House

An English speaking interpreter will take you step by step through the history, etiquette and cultural importance of the Japanese tea ceremony, while you witness a demonstration from a local professional. Following the demonstration, you'll be invited to try making your own cup of 'matcha' tea - which you'll be able to savour along with a sweet local delicacy served at the side.

Looking for an authentic, hands-on experience of Japanese tea ceremony culture? Hosted in a recently modernised, century-old Japanese town house & community space, this is a chance to witness and understand the history of the tea ceremony under the expert guidance of a local instructor dressed in traditional 'kimono'. A Japanese sweet snack will also be served to complement the tea. ※ Late Arrivals Policy We kindly ask all participants to arrive on time to ensure an optimal experience for all. If you arrive late without prior notice, up to 50% of your total activity fee may be charged as a cancellation fee. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
