Take part in a unique 3-hour evening food tour in Stone Town. First stop at Darajani Market, where locals go to buy their fruits and vegetables. Experience the fun hustle and bustle of this busy market and admire the multitude of foods on offer.   Your next stop will be at the Swahili House restaurant, the best place to watch the sun go down. As you watch the sky change colors, enjoy some soft drinks or local beers made in Tanzania. Afterwards, explore the streets of the city, which has itself been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hear stories about the city and see where the locals gather to celebrate events, watch football, or just have tea and play some games. Continue walking to Forodhani Garden, which hosts a popular street food market in the evenings.    Darajani Fish and Fruit Market is one of Stone Town’s busiest and most authentic local markets. Tourists can experience the vibrant atmosphere as local traders sell freshly caught fish, tropical fruits, vegetables, spices, and other everyday ingredients. It is a great place to see local life, learn about Zanzibar’s food culture, and discover the fresh products used in traditional Swahili cuisine. Along the way, discover the lively streets of Stone Town before stopping at a rooftop venue to enjoy a drink and take in a bird’s-eye view of the historic Stone Town.

   Forodhani Night Food Market is the main highlight of our Stone Town Street Food Tour. As the sun sets, the waterfront comes alive with local food vendors, traditional Swahili dishes, fresh seafood, Zanzibar Pizza, Urojo, grilled meats, sugarcane juice, and other local specialties. Our guide takes you through the market, helping you discover authentic Zanzibar flavors while explaining the stories and traditions behind the food.
