   Your day begins with a pick up at your Siem Reap hotel between 5:30 and 6:00 am followed by a transfer through the Cambodian countryside, passing traditional villages and local markets as the region comes to life.

   Upon arrival at Mechrey Pier, board a boat and cruise towards Prek Toal floating village while enjoying coffee, tea, and fresh fruit on board. As you glide through this unique wetland landscape, your journey into the Tonlé Sap ecosystem begins.

   Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary

   Accompanied by a certified Osmose guide (English or French), continue by specialized sanctuary boat into the Ramsar-listed bird sanctuary, renowned for its rich biodiversity and large populations of migratory waterbirds. Travel through the sanctuary’s peaceful waterways, observe birds from dedicated viewing platforms, and learn about the area's vital conservation efforts. Binoculars and identification guides are provided to enhance your wildlife-watching experience.

   After a morning immersed in nature, Lunch is cooked by the village's own community cooking group and served at the floating restaurant, so your meal supports the families who live here. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements can be accommodated upon request.

   In the afternoon, discover the heart of Prek Toal’s community initiatives. Visit environmental education projects and a water hyacinth handicraft workshop, where local women transform an invasive aquatic plant into beautiful handmade products. Take part in a weaving class and create your own souvenir to bring home. Continue your exploration aboard a traditional Khmer paddle boat, gliding through the floating village for an authentic glimpse into life on the water. Learn how local families adapt to the lake’s ever-changing conditions and visit fascinating floating landmarks, including floating farms, floating gardens, and family homes.
