Ubud’s original cooking school since 1992, founded by cookbook author, restaurateur and Ubud Food Festival founder and director, Janet DeNeefe. Seven different classes, seven different menus, all deeply Balinese.

Step into the open-air kitchen of Casa Luna Cooking School, one of Ubud's oldest and most celebrated culinary institutions, founded by cookbook author and Ubud Food Festival founder Janet DeNeefe. You'll spend a morning learning to cook authentic Balinese dishes from scratch, grinding spice pastes, working with fresh coconut, and mastering the layered flavours that define this island's cuisine. Classes are hands-on and small-group, led by Casa Luna's experienced teachers using recipes from Janet's acclaimed cookbooks. At the end, you sit down together and feast on everything you've made.

Head to Honeymoon Guesthouse 2 on Jalan Bisma, on the right-hand side of the road. Enter through the gate and our team will meet you at the cooking school in the garden pavilion.
