Overview

Explore Hokkaido’s volcanic landscapes on a private 8-hour vehicle tour from Sapporo. Travel comfortably between Lake Shikotsu, Noboribetsu and Lake Toya without relying on long-distance trains or buses. Default route: Sapporo hotel → Lake Shikotsu → Noboribetsu Jigokudani → Lake Toya (Silo Observatory) → Showa Shinzan → Sapporo hotel. You may request reasonable route changes at least 24 hours before departure. Alternative attractions can replace the default stops, but all listed attractions cannot be guaranteed within one day. The final route and stop times depend on traffic, parking, weather, snow, road conditions and attraction opening hours. The 8-hour service period is calculated from the confirmed pickup time to final drop-off and includes driving, parking, sightseeing, meal breaks and waiting. This product includes a private vehicle with a regular driver only. A tour guide and guaranteed English-speaking driver are not included.

Lake Shikotsu

Begin the day at Lake Shikotsu, a scenic caldera lake surrounded by forested mountains within Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Enjoy a relaxed walk along the lakeside, take photographs of the clear water and mountain scenery, or spend time around the visitor area before continuing south toward Noboribetsu. The boat tour is a paid activity. Boat tickets are not included，JPY 1,600 per person.

Continue to Noboribetsu Jigokudani, one of Hokkaido’s most distinctive volcanic landscapes. Walk through the designated viewing area and see steaming vents, mineral-rich ground, and the rugged valley formed by volcanic activity.

Lake Toya

Travel onward to Lake Toya, another major caldera lake in southwestern Hokkaido. Enjoy panoramic lake views, a short lakeside walk, and photography around the Toyako area. The boat tour is a paid activity. Boat tickets are not included，JPY 1,600 per person.

Stop near Showa Shinzan for views of the distinctive volcanic dome and surrounding landscape.

Meeting and pickup

Pickup is available from confirmed hotels and accommodations in Sapporo. After booking, please provide your exact hotel name and address, requested pickup time, passenger number, luggage quantity and size, preferred sightseeing stops, and a reachable phone number or WhatsApp contact. Please wait in the hotel lobby or at the main entrance at the confirmed pickup time. Free waiting time is 30 minutes. The standard service duration is up to 8 hours, calculated from the confirmed pickup time to final drop-off. Driving, parking, sightseeing, meal breaks and waiting during the service are all included within the 8-hour period. Overtime is JPY 5,000 per hour for vehicles up to 14 seats and JPY 10,000 per hour for larger vehicles. Night service between 22:00 and 07:00 incurs an additional JPY 2,000. Please submit route requests at least 24 hours before departure. If no request is received, the standard default route will apply. Alternative attractions replace rather than automatically add to the default stops. Large vehicles may require pickup or drop-off at a nearby legal parking point.
