Privately Guided Table Mountain Hike – Kasteelspoort Route

Experience Table Mountain via the quieter and more scenic Kasteelspoort route. With fewer tourists and a more forgiving descent than Platteklip Gorge, this hike offers a relaxed way to experience the Mountain at your own pace. Along the way, your qualified local guide will share insights into the Mountain’s unique flora, fauna, history and geology, with plenty of time for photography, wildlife and simply enjoying the natural surroundings. A personal, immersive and authentic Table Mountain experience.

This is a fantastic hike for those wanting to escape the crowds of more popular routes up Table Mountain. We start from the Camps Bay side and head up one of the deep and epic ravines known as Kasteelspoort way. Beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean below and Lions Head can be had and, once on top, there is the opportunity to visit the Old Cableway and take a picture at the famous ‘Springboard rock’. This is a favourite amongst hikers to Cape Town.
