In antiquity, Monteriggioni was famed as an impregnable fortress. Now, inside the castle, you can visit the museum of Medieval Weapons and walk along the old defensive walls. Additionally, inside the castle, you can find a good winery for your enjoyment!

   Second stop in San Gimignano for a free visit to the medieval village. San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town, not far from Siena, known as the Town of "Fine Towers." The town resembles an open-air museum, and our expert driver will guide you to the best things to see and taste. San Gimignano is famous for saffron, the Golden Ham, and its white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced from the ancient variety of Vernaccia grape grown on the sandstone hills.
