Private Tour to Skye, Fairy Pools, Portree and The Fairy Glen

The Isle of Skye is a Mystical and Magical place that has long been associated with Fairies. This day long tour from Inverness takes you to some of these places where you can spend time walking and soaking up the Atmosphere. On our way to the Isle of Skye we will stop at Eilean Donan Castle for a photo opportunity. The Fairy Pools at the foot of the Cuillin mountains where some visitors are tempted to swim and the war of the one eyed woman took place in 1601 , it is also said that Selkies used to shed their aquatic skin and take a human form and bathe in the pools by moonlight. The Fairy Glen on the Trotternish peninsula is a lovely peaceful place with some magnificient views and beautiful walks.

   Eilean Donan Castle

   We stop at Eilean Donan Castle on our way to Skye for a photo opportunity

   Skye Bridge

   10 min

   We cross the Skye bridge on our way to Skye and on a clear day there is some fantastic views of the Cuillin mountains in the background.

   Sligachan Old Bridge

   30 min

   We stop at Sligachan Old Bridge where the local legend is that if you wash your face in the river for 7 seconds you will have eternal beauty

   Fairy Pools

   2 hours

   The Fairy pools are situated at the foot of the cuillin mountains. Travellers can walk to the pools and spend some time in these beautiful surroundings. We stop here for 2 hours. Please come dressed and be prepared for wet and windy weather

   Portree

   1 hour

   Portree is the main town on The Isle of Skye and we stop here for lunch and an opportunity for you to see the town and its very pretty harbour.

   Fairy Glen

   1 hour

   Travellers can walk to the Fairy Glen , we spend 1 hour here.
