Itinerary

  1. 1

    Phnom Kulen National Park

    3 hours

Begin with a morning pickup from your hotel lobby and enjoy a scenic drive through rural Cambodia toward Phnom Kulen National Park. Known as the birthplace of the Khmer Empire in 802 AD, this sacred mountain site features 11th-century Hindu lingams carved directly into the bedrock under flowing river water, a massive Reclining Buddha carved from a natural boulder atop Preah Ang Thom, and a multi-tiered waterfall where you can cool off with a swim in the natural mountain pools.

  2. 2

    Kompong Khleang

    2 hours

Travel to the northern shores of Tonle Sap Lake to visit Kompong Khleang, one of the largest and most authentic water communities in Cambodia. Marvel at traditional homes built on towering 6- to 10-meter stilts designed to handle monsoon floodwaters, board a local boat to cruise through the village, and gain genuine insight into the daily lives and fishing traditions of the local community before returning to Siem Reap.
