Overview

While most charter boats in Ketchikan are 24 feet long and 8 feet wide, you'll be cruising on THE FOUR FINS, a 37 foot-long, 12-foot wide beauty of a vessel built right here in Ketchikan, with tons of forward deck space, a large, spacious cabin, and ample room on the rear deck for all parties while fishing. Captain Jack is not just an expert fishing guide and year-round local: he's a consummate host, who is eager to show off his hometown and to help you have a great time, all while he puts you on the fish. And while all parties are welcome, Jack had this boat built to be fully accessible, for wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers, and scooters. There is also adaptive fishing gear on board, like wrist braces and grasping cuffs for those with limited use of their upper extremities. Captain Jack is also a certified autism specialist through IBCCES.

Itinerary

These private charters are priced by group size, with taxes included! Whether you'd like to target salmon, halibut, or both, we're ready to put you on some fish. Our expert captain will bring the boat to your ship, and then you'll ride out to Alaska's renowned fishing grounds! Short port of call? Book our 4-hour salmon charter! Things to know: • We can have your fish processed and shipped. • Bottled water and snacks are included. • Dress in layers and bring rain gear. • Daily fishing licenses are $15/person for anglers age 16+ and can be purchased in advance from the AK Dept. of Fish & Game. Anglers under 16 get a license (and a king stamp) for free. • King salmon stamps for anglers age 16+ are also $15/person, and only necessary for retention of kings, which usually open on June 15th. • Federal Halibut Stamps are $20/person for anglers age 18+. These can be purchased on the boat. • The boat is fully accessible, including for power chairs. We have adaptive gear on board. We are also certified through IBCCES and Autism Double-Checked. • There is a portable marine toilet on board, though not a fully enclosed bathroom. • We have a large, comfortable cabin with huge windows.
