Join me on a full-day trip from Munich to the stunning Königssee and Lake Obersee near the Austrian border. After pickup at your accommodation, relax in a comfy vehicle with cool drinks. At Königssee, we enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour boat ride (round trip) past steep cliffs and alpine peaks. Along the way, you’ll hear stories about local history, traditions, and legends. We’ll spend a total of about 5 hours at Königssee and Obersee — plenty of time to enjoy the highlights without feeling rushed. After a relaxing lakeside lunch, we take a short, easy hike to peaceful Lake Obersee — a hidden jewel of the Berchtesgaden Alps. From here, you'll admire Germany’s highest waterfall, the Röthbachfall, plunging over 470 meters. The setting is like a postcard: glassy waters, dramatic mountains, and total peace. Expect fantastic photo spots, fresh alpine air, and a truly unforgettable day. You’ll experience Bavaria off the beaten path — personal, relaxed, and full of alpine charm!

   The full day trip starts in the morning, with pick up at your Munich accommodation. Step into a comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle embarking on tour. Cool drinks and snacks will be waiting for you in a comfortable vehicle.

   Pass by

   Soon, we will reach Mount Irschenberg, the most stunning viewpoint you can experience from a German highway. This motorway route was constructed in the mid-1930s as a "panoramic motorway." These now unconventional paths were part of National Socialist propaganda: the beauty of the landscape was exploited by intentionally presenting it as a symbol of the "German Homeland."

   Chiemsee

   A short time later, after another breathtaking view, we arrive at the largest lake in Bavaria, Lake Chiemsee.

   Konigssee

   As soon as we have arrived at the beautiful Koenigssee, we will first enjoy the wonderful landscape on a boat trip. While relaxing on the lake you will learn interesting background knowledge about the place and the surrounding region.

   St. Bartholomew's Church

   Pass by

   Our boat will bring us to the famous St. Bartholomew's Island. There we will discover the historical St. Bartholomew's church, the beautiful surrounding area and stop for a delicious Bavarian lunch in a typical beer garden.

   Obersee

   The adventure continues with a hike to Lake Obersee, a true hidden gem just a short walk beyond Königssee. This crystal-clear alpine lake feels like stepping into a postcard — undisturbed, serene, and unbelievably beautiful. From here, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable view of the Röthbachfall, Germany’s highest waterfall, cascading down over 470 meters (1,540 feet) from the cliffs above.

   After a day filled with unforgettable memories in Berchtesgaden, relax as I drive you comfortably back to your hotel in Munich.
