Private Juneau Glacier Gardens and Sightseeing (Luxury SUV)

Enjoy the intimacy of your family and friends, up to 5 (maybe 6 - read further), on a private sightseeing tour of gorgeous Juneau. Ride in a luxury Grand Highlander with mid-row captain seats and a moonroof for spotting soaring eagles. The first part of tour includes stops at a Mendenhall Glacier lookout, the Shrine of St. Therese, the salmon hatchery and more! The second part involves a dropoff at Glacier Gardens, followed by a later pickup. You will NEED TO PAY entry tickets at the front ($38/adult). After you complete their tour (90 min), I will drive you back to your cruise terminal or place of your choice. Guide is a local family man, who has lived in town for years. * Start times are 9 and 2, but are somewhat flexible. * If your group has six, I may be able to take them, no extra charge. I have six passenger seatbelts. Look at the back third row of my SUV in the photo collection - if three can fit comfortably, I can take six. After you book, just let me know.

   See gorgeous views of the Gastineau Channel and Douglas, two totem poles, and the life-sized humpback whale statue Tahku!

   Dipac's Macaulay Salmon Hatchery

   45 min

   Inside the hatchery - an aquarium and two touch tanks. several tanks filled with a million baby salmon, a gift shop, salmon jerky samples, and lots of salmon hatchery info adorning the walls Outside the hatchery - salmon ladder. Returning spawning salmon, seals and bald eagles can be seen during most of the summer.

   Mendenhall Glacier

   15 min

   Brotherhood Bridge Lookout. See the Mendenhall Glacier from a couple miles away, with a beautiful foreground of fireweed. Senior highschoolers love to take their school photos at this spot. Also learn about the recent flooding of the Mendenhall River the past few years.

   National Shrine of St. Therese

   30 min

   Gorgeous spot on the ocean with the snowy Chilkat mountains in the background. Humpbacks can sometimes be seen, and a bald eagles' nest is in a nearby tree. Guests can enter chapel and gift shop

   Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure

   1.5 hours

   I will not accompany you on this final part of the tour. After our sightseeing tour, I will drop your group off at Glacier Gardens entrance. After your tour there is over, I will drive you back to your cruise port or your desired location.
