The museum's collection tells the state's story from the pre-Columbian era up until the present day. Opened in 2008, the Millennium Gate Museum was built to preserve and interpret Georgia art, culture and philanthropic heritage. The museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a winner of the Palladio Award for design of a public space and is the second largest classical monument in the USA, located in the heart of Atlanta."
