Private Florence Duomo Guided Tour & Medici Secrets

Florence has hundreds of tours. This is the one locals wish tourists would take. While other groups shuffle past the Duomo in crowds of thirty, you'll be part of an intimate private experience — just your group and a licensed local guide who knows the stories the history books leave out. No scripts, no flag-following, no rushing. In two unforgettable hours you'll hear of Medici popes who poisoned their rivals, of a murder staged inside the cathedral during Mass, and of the last Medici princess whose final act saved Florence's treasures from being sold off piece by piece. You'll skip the hour-long Duomo queue with pre-booked priority entry and step inside the cathedral while other visitors are still waiting in the sun. This is Florence told the way Florentines tell it — with scandal, passion and pride. A tour designed for travelers who don't want a checklist; they want a memory. Maximum 10 guests per tour. Private dates book out fast in high season — reserve yours today.

   1.5 hours

Meet your licensed local guide in Florence's old city and step 500 years back into the world of the Medici — Renaissance bankers, popes, poisoners and patrons of Michelangelo. Walk the medieval streets where Dante once wandered and discover hidden Medici symbols carved into palaces most tourists miss. Hear the true story of the Pazzi Conspiracy of 1478 — the bloody assassination staged inside the Duomo during Mass — told on the very spot it happened. Your guide reveals the secrets behind the marble facade: rigged elections, poisoned rivals, forbidden love affairs, and the last Medici heiress whose final act saved Florence's art for the world. Then skip the hour-long queue and step inside the Duomo Cathedral with priority entry. Stand beneath Brunelleschi's impossible dome and decode Vasari's Last Judgment frescoes swirling 90 meters above. Perfect for couples, families and history lovers who want Florence beyond the guidebook.
