Overview

● It is private. Your group travels alone, from 4 to 22 people, never mixed with other travellers. ● The pace is yours. The hike in the park and the reserve moves at your group's speed. We do not leave at a fixed time if you have not finished. ● A dedicated guide, not a rushed driver. Up to 4 guests your guide drives; from 6 guests you get a guide and a separate driver, so the guide is with you and not behind the wheel. Groups over 18 get two guides and a driver. ● The vehicle is chosen for your group. SUV for 4, van for 6 or 10, and a 26-seat van capped at 22 passengers so everyone rides comfortably. ● Company and product track record. 506 Transfers & Tours holds more than 900 reviews and a 4.9 rating on TripAdvisor across transfers, day tours and ATV routes, and this tour holds 70 reviews with a 5.0 rating. ● Local guides who have walked this trail for years. Several guides are mentioned by name in those reviews.

Bijagua Ranas is the perfect place to experience Costa Rica wildlife in a natural setting without having to hike deep into the jungle. During our visit we were able to see 4 sloths, a couple of toucans, frogs, a very poisonous snake, a huge group of leaf cutter ants, a very strange beehive with tiny little bees buried into a tree and also enjoyed the rain forest canopy and beautiful foliage. The hiking trails are relatively flat and easy to walk although there are some sections that have narrow metal steps. Most of the trails have a little bit of gravel added so they are not slippery.
