Overview

This tour allows the independent traveller to make their own way to the stargazing activity. You drive to meet the guides and the group at the sunset viewpoint, then follow the group with your vehicle to the stargazing point. The Polestar tour is cheaper and is a good option for those who have a rental car. **You MUST have your own vehicle at every moment (your car, not a taxi) as you will move to another location for stargazing. **Be aware that the EXACT MEETING TIME and other information will be sent via whatsapp the morning of the scheduled tour. **Please make sure to provide a valid WHATSAPP number as all communication is through whatsapp. Make sure to be reachable the day of the tour. **Disregard the meeting time that you have on your digital ticket as it is generic! **The tour is in ENGLISH **Dress the warmest possible, put layers on, it will be much colder than you expect! **If you want to know the our cancellation policy, contact us! By booking our tours you agree to that.

Itinerary

  1. 1

    Teide National Park

    2 hours

We will meet you at Mirador de los Poleos a west-facing point overlooking the islands of La Gomera and La Palma a lookout point situated on the first recorded volcanic eruption that Cristopher Columbus wrote of in his ship log on his voyager of discovery to the Americas in 1492. Here we watch the sunset with a glass of cava. This is a wonderful photographic opportunity. As the sun drops below the horizon you can often see the colours of mount Teide turn a shade of red. After the sunset you will follow us up into the Teide national park where we will look at the last recorded eruption in 1909 and on to a lookout point at Mount Samara. Here the sunset is beginning to turn the clouds vivid colors and the island of El Hierro is also visible. We set up our large computerized telescope and look at the Moon and a laser guide to stars.
