   Aux Belles Poules

Take a seat in the former Aux Belles Poules salon, surrounded by ceramics, erotic frescoes and mosaics listed as Historic Monuments. For an hour, Caroline, the property owner, leads you into a documented and vivid story. Why were these institutions established? How were they organized? Who were the women who worked there and the men who frequented them? What was the reality of their daily lives? Through archives, historical facts and sometimes surprising anecdotes, the conference traces the evolution of regulated prostitution and reveals a universe far different from that imagined. Comfortably settled, you discover this story in the very setting where it once took place.
