Overview
The adventure begins in the heart of Oaxaca, heading to the prehistoric caves of Mitla. In a journey of 1 h 20 min we will enjoy landscapes of the Tlacolula Valley and its mountains. At San Pablo Villa de Mitla, a UNESCO World Heritage site, a local guide will take you on an easy 1.5 h hike between caves and ancient cave paintings that reveal thousands of years of history. Then, after a 20-minute walk, we will taste the best of Oaxacan cuisine at Tlacolula Market, with options for all tastes. To close with a golden clasp, we will visit a Zapotec family that will open the doors of their home and their art: natural wool dyeing and pedal loom weaving. After living with them for an hour, we will return to Oaxaca City with a heart full of culture, flavors and living traditions.
