   Nairobi National Park

   6 hours

Nairobi National Park, located just 7 kilometers south of Nairobi's city center, is a unique wildlife reserve that offers a striking contrast between urban development and nature. Established in 1946, it is the first national park in the world to be located within a major city. The park spans 117 square kilometers and is home to a wide variety of animals, including lions, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and over 400 species of birds. The park’s diverse ecosystems, including savanna, forested areas, and wetlands, provide a habitat for both common and endangered species. The Nairobi skyline can often be seen in the background, making for a surreal juxtaposition of wildlife and urban life. Nairobi National Park serves as an important conservation hub and offers a memorable experience for both tourists and locals seeking a unique escape into nature close to the city.
