Overview

There is no better way to get to the capital of Tyrol with its famous Golden Roof: On our large panoramic tour of the Alps in the new VW Comfort Van, you will be just as enthusiastic about majestic mountain peaks as about idyllic mountain villages and lush green meadows with happy cows. In addition, you will experience no fewer than five crystal-clear mountain lakes - such as the popular Tegernsee in Upper Bavaria and the largest lake in Tyrol. Enjoy a guided tour through the historic old town of Innsbruck with your personal professional guide, optionally take a spectacular cable car up the Karwendel mountains, marvel at the famous Olympic ski jump at Bergisel and/or of course the fascinating Swarovski crystal worlds. 2. 2

    Tegernsee

    20 min

Until the secularization in 1806, the Tegernsee valley was in the firm hands of the Benedictine monks who lived here for over 1,000 years, then the Bavarian king took over the monastery buildings and made them his summer residence. Even today, many celebrities can be found in this wonderful piece of earth; sometimes also in the world-famous 'Bräustüberl' in the historic monastery building, where we recommend a short stop. In addition to Bavarian specialties, Tegernsee beer is also served. The brewery is also located directly on the former monastery grounds and is run by the descendants of the Bavarian kings.

  3. 3

    Achensee

    20 min

A few minutes after crossing the German-Austrian border, we reach Lake Achensee. With a length of almost 10 km and a maximum depth of 130 meters, it is the largest lake in Tyrol. The road along the east bank with its numerous vantage points offers the best opportunities to take photos and be amazed! Seasonally, a historic cogwheel steam train runs from the southern end of the lake down to the Inn Valley in around 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Swarovski Kristallwelten

    1 hour

Experience this unique place of imagination, created for the centenary of Swarovski by multimedia artist André Heller: 17 chambers of wonders and a charming garden seduce with art, design and architecture. (Please note that you will not be able to see the production of Swarovski products; a factory tour is not offered!) Prices (2025): Adults: € 24.00 Children (6 - 17 years): € 8.00

  5. 5

    Innsbruck

    2.5 hours

Due to its special location, Innsbruck can look back on more than 3,000 years of eventful history. Embark on a 35-minute guided tour through the historic old town with your professional guide, on which the landmark, the 'Golden Roof' from the 15th century, should of course not be missing. Other highlights are the Innsbruck Hofburg, Maria-Theresia-Strasse with the Anna Column and Triumphal Arch, the city tower with its viewing platform and the Cathedral of St. James. Of course you can shop or have lunch during or after the tour!

  6. 6

    Stop 6

    1.5 hours

With a spectacular cable car chain, you can reach 2,269 m above sea level (7,444 ft. a. s.l.). Breathtaking views open up from the intermediate stations "Hungerburg" (858 m above sea level) and "Seegrube" (1,905 m above sea level)! The grandiose station buildings of 1. Section were designed by the famous British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, nicknamed "Curved Queen", to whom we also owe the Bergisels Hill, by the way. At the mountain stations, restaurants offer recommended, regional and international dishes with spectacular views! (Round trip prices 2025 from € 13.00 adult./ € 7.80 Children 7-16 years)

  7. 7

    Bergisel Ski Jump

    Pass by

The overwhelming view of Innsbruck, the fascination of a ski jumping site with an Olympic past and the modern architecture characterize the Bergisel ski jump. The tower was designed by star architect Zaha Hadid.

  8. 8

    Mittenwald

    35 min

This market town, surrounded by high alpine peaks, achieved wealth and prosperity thanks to the "Bozener Markt", which can still be seen today in the magnificently decorated houses ("Lüftlmalerei") and the overwhelming Rococo church of St. Peter and Paul. A second upswing came from the still existing violin making. With the Karwendel cable car you can reach Germany's second highest mountain railway station at 2,244 meters above sea level. Prices (ascent and descent): Adults: € 32.50 Children (6-17 years): € 22.50

  9. 9

    Stop 9

    10 min

Built during the Nazi dictatorship for the 1936 Winter Olympics and remodeled for the planned 1940 Winter Olympics, which were canceled due to World War II. For this purpose, the two communities of Garmisch and Partenkirchen were also forcibly merged. Learn more about the darkest years 1933 - 1945 from your tour guide, but also about the current use of the stadium and the ski jumps.

    Ludwigstrasse

    15 min

The historic Ludwigstrasse in the Partenkirchen district with its colorful murals ("Lüftlmalerei") is a must-see! It invites you to stroll, marvel and enjoy. Already 2,000 years ago there was a Roman trade route between Italy and Augsburg.
