We are having a closeby coastal cruise at Kardamyli village and we cross through the Meropi island channel. A few words about Kardamyli: nestled on the scenic Mani Peninsula in Messinia, is a captivating village that harmoniously blends history, natural beauty, and cultural charm. Characterized by stone-built houses, adorned with vibrant bougainvillea, the village exudes a traditional ambiance. Its focal point is the old town with cobblestone streets, offering glimpses into the region's rich past. The imposing towers, including the renowned Mourtzinos Tower, stand as silent witnesses to centuries of history. Kardamyli's location against the backdrop of the Taygetos Mountains and overlooking the deep blue waters of the Messenian Gulf creates a stunning setting. Beyond its historical allure, Kardamyli is a haven for nature enthusiasts and hikers.
