Itinerary
We start in the morning after breakfast, or at a time that works best for you. We will explore the Merzouga desert by 4×4 vehicle. Our first stop will be the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy traditional Gnawa music and learn more about the village’s unique culture and history. You will have time to listen to the music, take pictures, and experience the local atmosphere. Our adventure will then continue along the Paris-Dakar Rally route, crossing the desert toward Mefes, known for its desert landscapes and mineral-rich stones. We will then visit a Nomad family living in the Sahara. You will have the opportunity to learn how Nomadic people live in such a challenging environment, including how they adapt to the extreme heat of summer and occasional sandstorms. You can relax with the Nomads and enjoy traditional Moroccan tea prepared and served in the traditional way. After visiting the Nomads, we will continue our 4×4 adventure through the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes before returning toward Merzouga. At the end of the excursion, we can drop you off at your desert camp or anywhere in the Merzouga area.
