Madeira East Jeep Tour: Pico do Arieiro, Santana & Porto da Cruz

This 8-hour shared tour combines mountain views at Pico do Arieiro, the forest scenery of Ribeiro Frio, Santana, Faial and the coastal village of Porto da Cruz. Travel along old roads and off-road sections while your local driver-guide shares stories about island life, history and flora. Enjoy time for photographs and a lunch stop at a local restaurant.    Pico do Arieiro

   1.3 hours

   The second highest point of the island, with wonderful views to both sides of Madeira. We will make our way to our next stop using less busy, narrow, and off-road roads. This will take around 45 minutes.

   Ribeiro Frio

   1.8 hours

   This an excellent opportunity to discover the Trout Reserve. We will also guide you on a levada walk with amazing views of Faial. We will make our way to our next stop using less busy, narrow, and off-road roads. This will take around 60 minutes.

3. 3

   Santana

   2 hours

   We will introduce the beautiful, traditionally built Santana houses. This is also where we usually visit a local restaurant for lunch. We will make our way to our next stop using less busy, narrow, and off-road roads. This will take around 30 minutes.

   Stop 4

   1.4 hours

   We will take a lovely walk with amazing views that will lead us to Guindaste, an amazing glass platform right above the ocean. We will make our way to our next stop using less busy, narrow, and off-road roads. This will take around 40 minutes.

5. 5

   Porto da Cruz

   1.5 hours

   An excellent opportunity to take a stroll and discover a gorgeous black sand beach We will make our way back to your accommodations. This will take around 60 minutes.
