The tour then continues to Wat Phra That Doi Kham, a hilltop temple famous for its giant reclining Buddha, the revered Phra Chao Than Jai, and sweeping panoramic views over Chiang Mai city.

   A quiet, off-the-beaten-path temple in Hang Dong district, best known for its beautifully preserved antique wooden vihara built in classic Lanna architectural style, with its original ornate wooden doors still intact.

   A hilltop temple more than 1,300 years old, located on Doi Kham at an elevation of about 465 meters. Highlights include a giant reclining Buddha overlooking the city, the 22-metre-tall Luang Phor Phud Dai (""the Buddha who can speak""), a golden Thao Wessuwan statue, and the revered Phra Chao Than Jai, believed to grant wishes quickly.
