Due to Lake Tahoe’s incredible clarity and depth, the colors of the lake are surreal, and Emerald Bay is the perfect place to take in the entirety of the scene.

   Vikingsholm is considered one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in the United States. It is now a part of the Harvey West Unit of the Emerald Bay State Park.    Baldwin Beach stretches for a half mile, with breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountains soaring in the distance. Unlike other Tahoe beaches, it great for swimming. There's also a nice paved trail that runs through the forest nearby; it's great for walking, running, or biking.
