Kyoto Japanese Tea Blending Workshop with Take-Home Tea

Join a small-group, hands-on tea blending workshop in Kyoto. Guided by our staff, you'll taste a selection of Japanese teas and herbs, learn about their flavors, and combine them to create your own blend. Brew and taste your creation, adjust it to your liking, and take home 30g of your original tea in tea bags.

Learn about Japanese tea and create your own original blend in this 1-hour hands-on workshop in central Kyoto. Your guide will introduce a selection of Japanese teas, such as sencha, hojicha and genmaicha, along with a range of herbs and botanicals. You'll smell and taste each ingredient, learn about its flavor and character, and then combine them to make a blend that suits your taste. During the workshop, you'll brew and taste your blend, then adjust the proportions until you're happy with the result. At the end, you'll take home 30g of your original blend packed in tea bags. No prior tea knowledge is needed. The workshop is suitable for solo travelers, couples, friends and families. Explanations are given in English or Japanese.
