Known as the Shrine of Life, Ikuta Shrine is one of Japan's oldest religious sites, dating back to 201 AD. It is famous for its resilience, having survived wars and natural disasters, and is now celebrated as a powerful spot for En-musubi (matchmaking and bonding). The tranquil Ikuta Forest located behind the main hall offers a peaceful escape in the heart of the city.

   Kitano Ijinkan-gai

   1 hour

Located at the foot of Mount Rokko, this district became home to foreign merchants and diplomats after the Port of Kobe opened in 1868. Walking through these steep, winding streets, you will find beautifully preserved Western-style mansions like the Weathercock House and the Uroko House. The area offers a unique blend of Japanese and Western architecture, complemented by charming cafes and boutiques.

   Kobe Harborland

   1 hour

This vibrant waterfront area is the face of modern Kobe. You can stroll along the mosaic-paved promenade and see the world’s first pipe-structure tower, the Kobe Port Tower. Its distinctive hourglass shape (inspired by a traditional Japanese drum) and brilliant red color make it the city's most recognizable landmark. From the observation deck, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the busy port and the mountain range.

4. 4

   Mt. Rokko

   1 hour

One of the tour’s major highlights is venturing up to the summit of Mount Rokko. Rising 931 meters above sea level, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Kobe city and the vast Osaka Bay. The Tenran Observatory is a perfect spot to witness the scenic beauty of the city from above. The crisp mountain air and the expansive horizon provide a refreshing contrast to the urban exploration.
