Overview

The Majestic Circle Island Tour is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways for Ko Olina guests to experience Oʻahu beyond the resort. Rather than arranging a rental car, purchasing fuel, paying for parking, navigating unfamiliar roads, and trying to build a full-island itinerary on your own, guests receive a complete day of sightseeing in one organized experience. Round-trip Ko Olina transportation, an air-conditioned vehicle, a meal-inclusive lunch stop, and a full itinerary of Oʻahu highlights are all included. Just as importantly, guests are accompanied throughout the day by an experienced local driver-guide. While safely handling the island’s roads, traffic, parking, route timing, and changing conditions, your guide brings each destination to life with stories, local knowledge, Hawaiian history, and cultural insight. The experience is more than simply getting from one stop to the next. It is a chance to understand the places you are seeing.

Itinerary

  1. 1

    Ko Olina

    Pass by

Start your full-day Oʻahu adventure with convenient morning pickup from participating Ko Olina Resorts. Settle into an air-conditioned mini-bus or van and meet your local guide, who will share island stories, cultural insight, and sightseeing commentary throughout the day.

  2. 2

    Nu'uanu Pali Lookout

    20 min

Travel into the Koʻolau Mountains for a visit to the Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout, one of Oʻahu’s most dramatic viewpoints. From the cliffside overlook, take in sweeping views of Windward Oʻahu, Kāneʻohe Bay, Kailua, and the striking green mountain ridges. This historic location is also associated with the Battle of Nuʻuanu, an important conflict in King Kamehameha I’s late-18th-century campaign to unite the Hawaiian Islands.

  3. 3

    Byodo-in Temple

    30 min

Continue to the serene Valley of the Temples, home to the Byodo-In Temple. Surrounded by lush mountains, koi ponds, and peaceful gardens, this Japanese-inspired temple offers a quiet contrast to Oʻahu’s rugged coastlines. Enjoy time to explore the grounds, admire the temple architecture, see the large golden Buddha, and ring the Peace Bell—traditionally associated with good fortune, happiness, and long life.

  4. 4

    Kaneohe

    Pass by

Journey along the scenic Koʻolauloa Coast, where the towering Koʻolau Mountains meet the ocean. This stretch of coastline offers changing views of tropical valleys, rural communities, shoreline cliffs, and beaches that showcase the quieter side of Oʻahu. Your guide may point out landmarks, filming locations, local communities, and lesser-known viewpoints as you travel toward the North Shore.

  5. 5

Tropical Farms (The Macadamia Nut Farm Outlet)

    20 min

Make a local-style refreshment stop at Tropical Farms, a popular destination for macadamia nuts, Hawaiian coffee, island snacks, and gifts. Sample locally made products, browse the shop, and enjoy a relaxed break surrounded by Windward Oʻahu scenery.

  6. 6

    Kualoa Regional Park

    20 min

Enjoy a scenic stop along Oʻahu’s lush Windward Coast for views of Chinaman’s Hat, formally known as Mokoliʻi Island. This distinctive offshore islet rises just beyond the shoreline and is one of the island’s most recognizable natural landmarks. Take photos from the Kualoa Regional Park area, where the view combines Mokoliʻi Island, the Pacific Ocean, and the dramatic green ridges of the Koʻolau Mountains. Your guide may share local stories and cultural context surrounding this well-known coastal landmark.

  7. 7

    Polynesian Cultural Center

    1.5 hours

Take a midday break to enjoy an included meal at a designated lunch stop. This is a chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy local flavors before continuing to the afternoon sightseeing stops. Mondays through Saturdays, lunch will be served at Pounders Restaurant. Sundays, lunch will be served at Tanaka Shrimp Farm.

  8. 8

    North Shore

    Pass by

Experience Oʻahu’s legendary North Shore, internationally known for powerful winter surf and iconic beach scenery. Depending on conditions and timing, the tour includes views and photo opportunities at renowned locations.

  9. 9

A long, beautiful beach famous for major winter swells and professional surf competitions.

  10. 10

    Banzai Pipeline

    Pass by

One of the world’s most recognized surf breaks, known for waves that break over a shallow reef.

  11. 11

    Waimea Bay

At the end of the walk, arrive at Waimea Falls, a scenic waterfall surrounded by rainforest. Waterfall swimming may be available depending on weather and operating conditions; guests who swim must complete the required liability waiver. The walk is moderately challenging, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
