Kampot & Kep: Full-Day Countryside, Pepper Farm, Cave, Salt Tour

Explore Kampot countryside with a visit to La Plantation, the region’s most famous pepper farm or join a guided experience with tasting to learn more about pepper production. Alternatively, a visit to a local pepper farm such as Botree Farm may be offered, including a free guided visit, pepper tasting and Entrance fee for a more local experience ( Depending the group agreement). We spend around 2 hours at the farm, giving you time to explore, relax, or enjoy the café and restaurant area (not included). The tour continues to the salt fields (seasonal) to learn about traditional salt production, followed by a stop at a scenic countryside lake. Discover Temple Cave ( Phnom Chhngok ) near Kampot, featuring unique limestone formations and a peaceful Buddhist shrine. Finally, visit the lovely seaside town of Kep and explore the famous Crab Market. Guests can enjoy fresh Kep crab or other seafood at their own expense, or relax by the seaside. 11pm available Salt field sunset.

   Salt Fields

   15 min

   Spent 15 minutes for driving to here.Salt is another of Kampot’s important products. Ocean water is pumped into the pans from canals, then allowed to evaporate, leaving a thick layer of salt coating the ground. Workers rake the salt carefully into piles, collecting and moving it to storage.

   Brateak Krola Lake

   15 min

   Spent 25 minutes to here. The lake and a dame we built by slaves labor during khmer rude. impressive size is the man-made. A large lake, way outside of town, mostly unpopulated, with a dirt road around the lake.

   La Plantation

   2 hours

   Only one pepper farm will be visited per tour (La Plantation or a local farm such as Botree). At La Plantation, a free self-guided visit (~15 minutes or more) is included. Optional visit to Botree Farm with free tour+tasting(Depending group agreement)

   Kep Crab Market

   1.5 hours

   40 minutes to here. Finally with test seafood or lunch at crab market and swim or relax on the beach before heading back to Kampot.

   Phnom Chhngok Cave Temple

   40 min

   Admire the wonderful views from the Phnom Chhngok cave temple during 7 century

• La Plantation has an entrance fee of $2.50 per adult and $1.25 for children aged 6–15. Children under 6 enter free. The entrance fee is provided as a voucher that can be used toward services or products inside La Plantation. For example, the $2.50 voucher can be used toward the $5 guided farm tour, so guests pay only the remaining $2.50.
