   Sengan-en Garden was built in 1658 by Mitsuhisa, the 19th generation of the Shimazu family. The garden overlooking Sakurajima is one of the most beautiful views in Kagoshima Prefecture. The garden, which overlooks Sakurajima, is one of Kagoshima Prefecture's most representative landscapes. The 15,000-tsubo (9,000-square-meter) site, with its flowers in bloom in each of the four seasons, includes the Shoko Shuseikan, where materials and cultural assets related to the Satsuma clan and the Shimazu family are on display, and the palace, which was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 2015 as a place that led the modernization of Japan.

   Sakurajima Lava Nagisa Promenade

   It is the highest of all the observation points on Sakurajima and the highest point to which the public is allowed. The view of the rugged mountain surface and the smoke rising from the volcano is breathtaking!
