   Hue Imperial City (The Citadel)

   Hue Citadel (the outer circle) was constructed under the reign of Emperor Gia Long and Minh Mang from 1805 to 1832. The planning of the Citadel took place in 2 years 1803 and 1804. At the time, Emperor Gia Long and Madarin Nguyen Van Yen had a field trip, planned architecture and construction ground. Compared to Phu Xuan Citadel in late Nguyen Lord reign and Tay Son reign (1786-1801), the Citadel was further enlarged. As planned on the design, the Citadel is located on the 2 distributaries on left bank of the Perfume river. This area was home to Kim Long river, Bach Yen river and 8 villages founded for centuries ago, namely Phu Xuan, Van Xuan, Dien Thai, An Van, An Hoa, An My, An Bao and The Lai.

   Thien Mu Pagoda

   Thien Mu pagoda (Also called Heavenly Lady Pagoda) is the oldest monument in Hue with the wonderful Royal architecture, poetic views, and perfect Feng Shui. It has gained a reputation for not only its ancient beauty but also its mysterious stories. Heavenly Lady Pagoda - Hue city Linh Mu Pagoda lies on Ha Khe Hill, on the Northern bank of Perfume River in Hue city. It is about 5 kilometers from the center to this amazing area.

   Mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang

   Minh Mang Tomb is the final resting place of the second emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. Minh Mang Emperor, whose reign marks the culmination of the Nguyen dynasty power throughout the country. Located on the Tam Tai Son mountain, Huong Tho commune, Huong Tra district, and away 12 km from Hue city center to the west. The tomb of Minh Mang is a harmonious blend of picturesque landscape and solemn architecture, which portrays the strictness and deep beliefs of the Emperor.

   Tomb of Khai Dinh

   Thua Thien Hue has been so much famous for the Hue Imperial City where many dynasties of Vietnamese kings had been spent. Therefore, it would not be surprising that this land is home to numerous tombs especially of Nguyen Dynasty’s Kings which are recognized as world heritages by UNESCO. Contributing to the common art treasure of humanity is the system of tombs and mausoleums with abundant styles expressing Emperors’ characteristics. Being the last great tomb from the Nguyen dynasty, Emperor Khai Dinh’s mausoleum shines with a mix of Asian and European style that tourists could hardly ignore when visiting Hue.

   Perfume River Hue, a gorgeous fairy hair, a symbol of Hue imperial city. It is an important part of Fengshui in the architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty. Perfume River is the inspiration for a lot of artists and musicians to compose. Moreover, It is the soul of Hue and the locals.
