Being on horseback is a truly different way to explore Tanzania’s wildlife, flora and fauna and allows you to access areas where jeeps and motor vehicles can’t. Get closer to nature, all starting just 40 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Arusha.

Tanzania Horse Safaris offers a two hours horseback adventure, located just under an hour from Arusha, Moshi, and Kilimanjaro International Airport, set on the scenic Dolly Wildlife Estate. The ride takes place within a fenced estate where people, wildlife, and horses live in harmony beneath the shadow of Mt. Meru—with views of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro on clear days. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced rider, you’ll enjoy close-up encounters with wildlife such as eland, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, bushbuck, impala, dik-dik, gazelle, and a dazzling variety of birdlife. Experienced riders can embrace exhilarating gallops along open trails, while those with less experience can explore at a slower pace, peaceful, meandering paths in and amongst the estate wildlife. We offer morning and afternoon rides, all 2-hour rides. The morning rides departs at 0800AM & 1030AM, and the afternoon ride departs at 1630PM.
