Overview

Experience the beauty of Mt. Fuji surroundings and the ancient Japanese tradition of Yabusame with our horseback archery challenge. You will begin by dressing in authentic Yabusame outfit and visiting the nearby Shinto shrine. Then, you will meet our horses and learn the fundamentals of horseback riding and arrow shooting from our skilled instructors. We will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, even beginners. You will practice your skills while forming a connection with our gentle horses, surrounded by the beautiful sight of Mt. Fuji in the background. Once prepared, participate in Yabusame challenge, shooting arrows while riding on the sacred grounds of an ancient Shinto shrine. This unique experience blends cultural heritage, natural beauty, and the excitement of horseback archery, making it a truly unforgettable adventure all year around.

Itinerary

This experience is a beginner-friendly version of Yabusame (traditional horseback archery). ・Minimum participants: 2 travelers. ・Duration: approximately 2 hours (may vary depending on group size). ・We use native Japanese Kiso horses, which are slightly smaller than Western breeds. For the safety and welfare of our horses, participants must weigh 80 kg (176 lbs) or less. Guests who exceed this weight limit are welcome to enjoy our horse-drawn carriage ride through Fujiyoshida City or a horse interaction experience instead. About us: Our mission is the wellbeing of both our guests and horses. We support animal welfare by giving retired horses a second career in tourism. In Japan, retired horses often have limited opportunities. By providing them with a meaningful role, we help them live safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives. We are also dedicated to preserving the ancient tradition of Yabusame (horseback archery). Together, we can preserve tradition, promote sustainability, and create a meaningful connection between humans and horses.
