   Stop at a local market when many food stalls open for students after school. You will try five tastings of traditional cakes. You may be surprised because they are savory, not sweet.

   Hoi An Cathedral

   Because it was an international trading port, where people met and shared cultures, Hoi An became the place of the first Catholic church in Vietnam.    Visit Hoi An Central Market. Many stalls look the same, and some sellers can be pushy. But there is one special stall that Anthony Bourdain visited and featured on his TV series. Even though it has no queue and is not crowded, it feels like a forgotten Anthony Bourdain spot.
