Next, visit the iconic Wat Mahathat, where the Buddha's serene face is famously entwined within the roots of a tree. Continue to the sacred Wat Na Phra Men, housing a magnificent golden seated Buddha statue. Your knowledgeable guide will share the captivating history of Ayutthaya. Your journey through Ayutthaya's heritage continues at Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, once the holiest temple of the city. Around midday, board a riverboat for a scenic cruise along the Chao Phraya River.
