Overview
Experience two very different sides of Hiroshima in one private day with a Japanese local guide. Visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Memorial Park and Museum while hearing family stories connected to the atomic bombing, including second-generation survivor perspectives, and discover how Hiroshima rebuilt and carries its message of peace today. Then explore Miyajima’s floating torii gate, UNESCO-listed Itsukushima Shrine, traditional streets and, when time allows, Daisho-in Temple. Discover why the island has been sacred for centuries and how Shinto, Buddhism and nature connect in Japan. Most of our qualified guides were born and raised in Hiroshima, with international experience and clear English. Meet your guide at your central Hiroshima hotel, Hiroshima Station or cruise terminal and enjoy a flexible private day at your own pace. Itsukaichi Cruise Port pickup is JPY 2,000 extra per booking, payable in cash on the day.
