    30 min

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is a tranquil green space dedicated to the victims of the atomic bomb and to world peace. Stroll past the Children's Peace Monument, the Flame of Peace, and the Cenotaph as your guide shares stories of resilience and hope.

  2. 2

    Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

    40 min

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum documents the events of August 6, 1945 and their aftermath through powerful exhibits and personal belongings. A deeply moving experience that conveys the importance of peace. Your guide helps you navigate the displays.

  3. 3

    Hiroshima Castle

    30 min

Hiroshima Castle (広島城, Hiroshimajō), also called the Carp Castle, is a notable example of a castle built on a plain in the center of a city. Its grounds are surrounded by a moat, and the castle precincts include a shrine, historic ruins, and reconstructed Ninomaru (second bailey) buildings. Built in 1589 by the powerful feudal lord Mori Terumoto, Hiroshima Castle was an important seat of power in Western Japan. Like the rest of the city, it was destroyed by the atomic bombing in 1945. ※Please note that Hiroshima Castle’s main keep has been closed to the public since March 2026 due to safety concerns. The castle can still be viewed from the outside, while the Ninomaru buildings, Ninomaru Museum Shop, and Sannomaru area remain open to visitors.

  4. 4

    Atomic Bomb Dome

    20 min

The Atomic Bomb Dome is the skeletal ruin left standing near the hypocenter of the 1945 bombing. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and powerful symbol of peace, it is preserved exactly as it was. Your guide explains its moving history along the riverside.

  5. 5

    Itsukushima Shrine Torii

    20 min

The Great Torii Gate of Itsukushima Shrine appears to float on the sea at high tide, one of Japan's most photographed sights. At low tide you can walk out across the sand to its towering vermilion pillars. A perfect spot for memorable photos with your guide.

  6. 6

    Miyajima Omotesando Shopping Street

    30 min

Miyajima's lively Omotesando shopping street is lined with traditional shops and food stalls. Sample the island's famous momiji manju (maple-leaf cakes) and grilled oysters, browse local crafts, and soak up the festive atmosphere with your guide.

  7. 7

    Itsukushima Shrine

    40 min

Itsukushima Shrine is the iconic Shinto shrine on Miyajima island, famous for its vermilion halls built over the sea and the great "floating" torii gate. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its corridors seem to drift on the water at high tide. Your guide shares the history and legends of this sacred place.

  8. 8

    Shukkeien

    30 min

Shukkeien is an elegant Japanese landscape garden dating from 1620, its name meaning "shrunken-scenery garden." Wind along paths past a central pond, miniature mountains, tea houses, and arched bridges. A serene contrast to the city, with seasonal beauty year-round.
