   Piazza Maggiore

   Head into the mountains enjoying sweeping views across Lake Como - pass vineyards, majestic churches and hidden viewpoints. Walk in and out of tiny hamlets and through private gardens to find unexpected panoramas over the central lake & Bellagio.

   Carlazzo

   1 hour

   We now head down the other side of the valley for views right across Lake Lugano an onto Switzerland. Walk along an old Roman road and through what once was a hilltop castle. These agricultural villages are perfect occasions to experience what life is actually like on the lake, as shepherds, farmers and local producers all go about their daily lives. We reach a local 'ritrovo' or meeting point where locals come to play cards, boules, have a coffee or a glass of wine.

   Tremezzo

   30 min

   Drive lakeside along the prettiest section of the Greenway, revealing views over to Bellagio and the pretty facades of Tremezzo's famous villas.

   Breglia

   15 min

   Forested footpaths lead to spectacular high-altitude views of Lake Como. This is an area difficult to reach without local knowledge - and reveals probably the best views of Bellagio and Varenna on the lake.

   Menaggio

   The tour ends in Menaggio where you can enjoy the bustling lakeside at leisure & have easy access to ferries on to your next destination.
